FALL Art class for Middle School Students (recommended for 11-14 years) This is an hour long class which meets on Thursdays from 5pm-6pm through the Fall semester. This course starts September 3rd and goes until November 19th. If we have to cancel for any reason a make up class will be offered on December 3rd. All supplies are included in the cost. The goal of the class is to offer a safe space to enjoy the process of making while growing in their skills and techniques, and gaining confidence in their creative endeavors. Students will work with a variety of material. Based on the class and their interest we will form projects around drawing concepts and paint techniques. We usually do one sculpture project a semester, and either a book arts or printmaking piece. In the Fall, we bring in some seasonal themes, drawing charcoal pumpkins, sculpting clay pumpkins, etc. You can pay in full or monthly. The full cost is $300 and includes all materials. If you wish to pay monthly choose "pay in person" at checkout and write "pay monthly" in the registration form. I will send out invoices each month. Monthly payments will $60 material start up fee in August, and then $80 for the months of September, October, and November. This course is included in the studio membership. If you have a studio membership choose "Pay in person" and write "studio member" in the notes. If you wish to purchase a membership you can do so on the "membership" page or message me with questions. If you join throughout the semester I will prorate the cost; you are welcome to join at anytime as long as there is available space. Drop-ins are welcome if there is available space. The drop-in rate is $30.
